Great deal found on Canon Digital Rebel Xsi 12MP Digital SLR Camera

We were checking online recently and found what looks like an excellent buy on a Canon Digital Rebel Xsi 12MP Digital SLR Camera. Especially with the holiday buying season coming up, this would make a terrific gift for anybody who enjoys taking pictures. Canon has an outstanding reputation as being, along with Nikon, one of the two best brands in the world as recognized by professional photographers. By most experts in the field, Nikon is looked at as having a stronger and more knock-around resistant body, while Canon has the edge when it comes to the electronics that actually process the digital image. Of course, there are lenses and then there are lenses, and your mileage may vary.

Here are the specs in a nutshell: Canon Digital Rebel Xsi 12MP Digital SLR Camera (Black) With EF-S 18-55MM F/3.5-5.6 IS Lens & EF 75-300MM F/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens and 4GB Deluxe Accessory Outfit.

This is actually a camera and two lens kit that regularly retails for $1,519.99 and they have it marked down t0 only $919.95. That is a saving of $600. Get more info to buy the Canon Digital Rebel Xsi 12mp camera kit online here at the Digital Camera Best Prices

This really is a top of the line picture taking machine, but don't forget Canon also makes some excellent little point and shoot cameras as well as their high end professional quality SLRs.

Fujifilm S2000HD Gives Great High Definition Pictures

Sharing photos with friends and family in the living room has never looked better – thanks to the outstanding high definition capabilities of the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD digital camera.

The FinePix S2000HD is the first Fujifilm model to offer full compatibility with high definition television (HDTV) systems for both stills and movies.

The FinePix S2000HD can capture true HD movies (at 1280 x 720 pixels) and wide screen stills (at 1920 x 1080 pixels), while the HD output allows the camera to display ultra clear high definition photographs and movies on high definition television screens - so you can browse through your shots on your widescreen HDTV!

With a remote control for easy navigation on your high definition television screen, viewing richly detailed stills and movies in the comfort of your living room has never been easier.

Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or just a proud parent looking to snap the perfect shot, the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD is designed to do your photos justice and display them crisper and clearer than you’ve ever thought possible!

Keen photographers will appreciate the FinePix S2000HD’s amazing 15x optical zoom, covering an incredibly versatile 27.6-414mm (equivalent on a 35mm camera) range from true wide-angle to ultra telephoto – so you can capture the perfect photo from almost any position.

From sport field sideline shots, long distance scenic snaps or wildlife action, the S2000HD is equipped with the technology and functions required to deliver truly outstanding images with the click of a button.

The FinePix S2000HD's Dual Image Stabilisation mode combines a mechanically stabilised CCD sensor with high ISO sensitivities for total anti-blur protection. The combination of these technologies reduces the blurring effect of both hand-shake and subject movement even further to provide sharp, clean and clear results even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging lighting conditions.

The FinePix S2000HD also features the ability to shoot continuously at up to 13.5 frames per second with max 33frames (3MP mode) – ideal for shooting sports, wildlife action or fast moving kids who can’t seem to keep still!

Novices and more experienced photographers will be equally excited by the S2000HD’s world famous Face Detection Technology that makes getting perfect portraits easier than ever.

The Face Detection function adjusts the focus and exposure accordingly to ensure the sharpness and clarity of human subjects in the picture, regardless of the environment they happen to be in. The camera even checks each detected face for red-eye, and if found, corrects it in the camera automatically – saving you doctoring the photo on your PC after the image is downloaded!

The Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD is the latest addition to the Fujifilm S-Series range of digital cameras, all designed with extraordinary zoom capabilities and superior image quality to bring your images to life better than ever before.

The S2000HD digital camera even comes with the HD cable as standard so you get everything you need to shoot and view studio-quality high definition photography at home.

Film is Dead, Long Live Digital Cameras

We were speaking with a professional photographer last month. A man who makes his living taking pictures and selling them to magazines and newspapers ranging from National Geographic to his hometown daily newspaper.

He told me something shocking. In two years you will no longer be able to buy film or find any place to process old fashioned film and make prints from negatives. The digital camera photography revolution has arrived and film is going the way of the dodo and button hook.
Well, I just sold my old Nikon 35mm SLR, and was lucky, I think, to get $130 for the body, two zoom lenses and Nikon flash unit.

I have two FujiFilm digital cameras, and I just bought an Olympus Sp-510UZ, which I like much better than the Fuji Finepix E550. It is amazing how much the technology changes so fast.

One other quick tip. If you are going to want to do more than just have little low resolution snapshots, then always shoot in RAW mode rather than JPG. This gives you much more latitude when you go to adjust the picture in PhotoShop. Of course, shooting RAW takes up much more memory, but memory cards are much cheaper now two. Look on eBay and see them selling 2 megabyte memory cards for less than $20 these days.
